In Memory Of

Call it cheesy, corny, dorky, whatever..But I thought this was a good way to remember Abbi; due to the fact that we couldnt have a proper burial, I wanted to do something. Although we might still bury her collar.

Heart to Heart

This is the wallhanging(or quilt) I've been working on. I'm not sure where exactly I will put it, as it doesnt match my room. Another addition for the hope chest, I guess. (It's getting a little full.)
My Auntie Diane was so gracious as to hold a few classes for some ladies at church that wanted to learn how to quilt! (Thanks!) It was alot of fun! I'm almost done, I just need to quilt 5 more hearts and stitch the edging.
It's nice to be able to do things like sewing. Not many women sew anymore. It's quite sad come to think of it. When you tell someone you sew, they look at you like you're an alien and think you're incredible!! It cracks me up! I'd like to do my part to keep some old 'past times' alive, and my brain active. Now I need to tackle the quilt I've been working on for the last 3 years!!! Hopefully there will be a picture of that on here soon too. I'm really excited about that one. Stay tuned!

Large and Small

Hello, these were my new roomies for the last 2 weeks while I've been house sitting. They are so much fun! And they are both very sweet-haha. ;) Kandi is a Giant Schauzer-dont let her size fool you, she's a big teddy bear!-and Muffin is a Westy Terrier.

**SNOW!!**

Snow Buds

For all my sunshine-bound stated friends, and for all of us here in New England, here is the first significate snowfall of the winter!! Isnt it beautiful! Enjoy!

Snowy Steps

Windy Winter Wonderland

Chickened Out

Here chickie, chickie, chickie...

It's that time of year again. Time where people go crazy gnawing on some poor little chicken's wings watching big men in tights run around chasing and crashing into each other. Yes, SuperBowl time. And this also means that it's wing cooking time! UGH. We sell so many that we have to cook wings overnight to keep up with it all! And this year it was my turn, again.
From 12am-730am I cooked and fried and fried and cooked. By 2am I'd already fried 520lbs of wings. By 3/330am the Starbucks Double Shot, and 2 Frappucinos started wearing off(but they definitely got me through!!) and my wrists and arms started to give way.
Surprisingly, the night went by fast, and by the end we'd cooked a total of over 1,300lbs of wings!!!! That's about 235 5lb buckets!!
But I was able to witness to my co-worker for about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes that night!! I was able to give him the plan of salvation briefly along with covering the Bible from Genesis to Revelations! Ha! He was very attentive. :) So although I'd rather of not lost a night's sleep while having to cook wings, I was glad that I was able to be a witness. I guess all things DO work together for good...according to HIS purpose!
And now, I'd rather not see another chicken wing for a very, very long time!

The Year in Pictures 2006

Well, among the things not shown here, I took pottery classes. Which, if you ever get a chance to do, do it! It was so much fun and actually very relaxing and therapeutic! I loved it. Let's see, I sprained my ankle when my foot got stuck in the stirr ups as I feel off riding! I also received Reserved Champion in a horse show!
I started my unintentional side business of house/dog sitting. ha! Which is a great way to make easy money, and it's fun; except for maybe being by myself most of the time. I visited Larey Caverns, Gettysburg, went camping and I'm sure I forgot a few things. But mostly, I realized that, you need to make the most of everything. The Lord showed me alot of things this past year, and I feel like I've been able to take a few steps closer to Him as well in the process. He knows what you need, when you need it and He's in control. Although that's a whole lot easier to say, then to press on day to day. :) (hey that rhymed!) But He is the driving force after all. I cant wait to see what this year will hold. Stay in touch! Love you all! And thanks for visiting my blog! :)
